MORE HERE. MORE HUMAN.

In a world
engineered for
distraction,
we choose
presence

Let’s build the kind of world
we’d like to bump into.

Why presence

Connected

Present

We live in the most connected time in history.

And yet, it has become incredibly easy to miss the person right in front of us.

Messages are reacted to.
Stories are viewed.
Birthdays are remembered by apps.

But being connected is not always the same as being present.

What presence looks like

Presence is noticing

ASKING

Asking a question and staying for the real answer.

REMEMBERING

Remembering someone’s name.

MAKING ROOM

Making room for the person outside the circle.

FOLLOWING UP

Following up on something someone told you days ago.

CALLING

Calling when a text feels too small.

Small moments
Real attention

Containers for intimacy

Small
containers
for intimacy

We are not here to teach people how to meditate or disconnect from the world.

We are creating small containers for intimacy.

Everyday human intimacy. Simple moments that create room to notice, listen, connect and make someone feel seen.

Because attention is one of the most human things we can give each other

That is why we created Society of Presence.

The weekly SOP

One simple SOP
Every week

A Standard Operating Procedure for being a little more present.

Every Sunday, a new SOP drops on Instagram

One small act anyone can take part in. We do it first. Then invite you to do the same.

SOPs might look like this
01

THANK SOMEONE WHO GOES UNNOTICED

02

NOTICE WHO’S LEFT OUT

03

PUT THE PHONE AWAY

Share the experience

Share your experience
Not their reaction

Don’t turn the person you were present for into content.

Instead, tell us what doing the SOP made you notice, feel or realise.

What surprised you?
What stayed with you?
What might you do differently now?

The act is for them
What it changes in you is yours to share

Share it on Instagram. Tag @societyofpresence and use #SocietyOfPresence so we can find your story and help it travel.

Help it travel

Someone might see what you shared on Instagram and think:

I could
do that too

And another act begins.

That is how we hope the Society grows.

Through followers, yes.
But more importantly, through follow-through.

Manish and Shishir, founders of Society of Presence
Our story

We’re Manish & Shishir

Between us, we’ve spent almost four decades in advertising, an industry built around getting people’s attention.

But Society of Presence started somewhere much more personal.

A moment when one of us simply showed up for the other. Listened. Stayed. Gave the conversation the attention it needed.

If one moment of real presence could create that kind of connection, what else could it do?

After years of trying to capture attention, we started thinking about what happens when we give it instead.

To notice. To listen. To remember. To make someone feel seen.

That thought became Society of Presence. A small experiment in creating more of those moments, one simple SOP at a time.

Keep showing up
